The final leg of the awards show race was a good one. I’m proud of the fact that this isn’t a “best and worst” collection. Though some dresses were a little on the boring side, everyone looked great and there weren’t any huge missteps. No big trends, but I have to say, I love that men took risks with their attire for the evening, even if that meant tuxedo shorts.
Here are choice looks from the red carpet!
The radiant Lupita Nyong’o in a custom princess-y Prada gown.
Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, with this Elie Saab number.
Cate Blanchett in Armani Prive.
Viola Davis in a green, her go to color, Escada dress.
Charlize Theron in black Dior.
Jennifer Lawrence, also in Dior.
Matthew McConaughey with wife Camila Alves, who wore this stunning Gabriella Cadena dress.
Kerry Washington sported a dark lip with this lavender Jason Wu.
Anne Hathaway in Gucci.
Jared Leto, who arrived with his mother and brother Shannon, in a Saint Laurent tux.
Amy Adams also wore Gucci.
Glenn Close in Zac Posen.
Julia Roberts wore black, lacy Givenchy.
Michael B. Jordan rocked this Givenchy suit, which might have been too edgy for some people, but I loved it.
Sandra Bullock in Alexander McQueen.
Will and Jada Pinkett-Smith, she in Versace.
Lady Gaga showed up in, what else, Versace.
John Legend with wife Chrissy Teigen, who wore Monique Lhuillier.
The always lovely, Meryl Streep.
Leonardo DiCaprio, better luck next time, dude.
Olivia Wilde and Jason Sudeikis, both in Valentino.
Finally, one of my favorite looks of the night, Kate Hudson in gorgeous silver Versace.
