The Men Of ‘Prometheus’

Ridley Scott‘s 3-D epic ‘Prometheus’ hits theaters this weekend, and while it isn’t getting the best reviews, the hot cast is enough of a reason to see it. The film stars Charlize Theron and original Girl With The Dragon Tattoo Noomi Rapace along with Michael Fassbender, Idris Elba and Logan Marshall-Green rounding out the cast.

Michael Fassbender

Fassbender had a star turn in last year’s ‘Shame,’ and he plays the ship’s android David in the prequel to ‘Alien.’ He tells GQ magazine that he used Peter O’Toole in ‘Lawrence of Arabia’ as inspiration for on how to portray David. “He’s an outsider as well,” says Fassbender. “In the end, [Lawrence is] neither British nor Arab. There’s something in that, I think—the robot not being accepted by any of the humans.”

Idris Elba...unf.

Elba, or you might know him by his DJ name “Big Driis,” won a Golden Globe this year for his role on the show Luther, co-starred in ‘Thor,’ he can be seen in the upcoming ‘No Good Deed’ and will be playing Nelson Mandela in the biopic ‘Long Walk To Freedom.’ He’s busy, to say the least. The London native previously worked with Scott in “American Gangster‘ and jumped at the chance to work with him again.

“He called me and said, ‘I’m doing this film, a sci-fi project and there’s character in it — the captain — I can’t think of anyone else who could play him except for you. I think you’d be amazing in it.’ That was the end of the conversation,Elba recalled. “I read the script and said ‘yes.'”

Logan Marshall-Green

You might not know who Logan Marshall-Green is, but the rising star has been around for a while. He was famously shot by Mischa Barton‘s character on ‘The O.C.’ or you might have mistaken him for Tom Hardy, the two actors look a lot alike.  He tells Elle magazine that he doesn’t mind being compared to Hardy, “I’ve been a twin since the day I was born—fraternal, but we look a lot alike—so I’ve already been mixed up with another man my entire life.”

It’s not always about the chicks now, is it?
