Because people are serious about this whole “Normcore” thing, the Gap has released their latest ads for their “Dress Normal“ campaign directed by DiC fav David Fincher. Shot in his signature smokey, black and white style, the four commercials feature fashionable, young white models making out and dancing in Gap basics.
Not the most ground-breaking advertising, but we always appreciate Fincher’s work around here. And it’s certainly a change of pace from the yellow-tinted mayhem he usually produces.
For their Fall print ads, Gap tapped celebs like Angelica Huston, Michael K. Williams, Bobby Cannavale and ‘Mad Men”s Elisabeth Moss to sport some simple, but still a bit stylish looks.
Are you diggin’ these ads? It should also be noted that Fincher’s new film, “Gone Girl”, starring Ben Affleck is set to open October 3rd. So there’s that.
“Stunning” is never a word I use lightly, but it always applies to Angelina Jolie. At the world premiere of Disney‘s ‘Maleficent‘ in Hollywood, Jolie graced the blue carpet in black, leather Versace. What else?! She was joined by the films cast, including Elle Fanning, who plays Aurora in the film, Sharlto Copley, Sam Riley, Juno Temple and Lesley Manville.
Fiance Brad Pitt was on hand to escort her down the carpet, also in all black. I don’t think these two wear any other color.
The couple’s six children were at the premiere as well, their daughter Vivienne has a small part as the young Aurora because she was the only kid who wasn’t scared of her mother while she was in Maleficent’s makeup. Watch out for Zahara and Pax‘s walk-on roles too! The movie has been getting so-so reviews, but will probably be a big hit with kids and Disney stans.
Will you be seeing ‘Maleficent‘ this weekend? I really want a pair of these horns.
