Daaaayummm. Finally. It’s about time Rashida Jones stopped down-playing her stunning beauty and showed it off!
Y’all know I’m right, too. Rashida is one of those pretty girls, who’s a Total Package Overload. That means she’s got it all: Looks, brains, SUPER funny, cool and funny co-stars (like Paul Rudd!), cool friends, cool family…all of the above. Problem is, girl has been nerding herself up for no good reason for far too long!
Take a look at Miss Jones at the Oscarsback in 2007.
I can tell from her body language that even she doesn’t feel pretty in this get-up. I just can’t with that swimsuit cover-up dress and shoes.
We need one more photo from Flaunt Magazine of Rashida to show all over us–but most importanly, Rashidaherself how truly exotically gorgeous she can be.
I think Rashidaneeds to hire the stylist from this magazine for all red carpet events from now on. AND the make-up artist! I love that you can see her freckles, while she’s still so glammed up!
Oh, dear. Eddie Fisher has passed away, reportedly due to complications from hip replacement surgery.
A lot of us know Eddie Fisher as the father of actress and writer, Carrie Fisher (whom I ADORE) and Debbie Reynolds’s ex-husband (thanks to the irresistible Dame Elizabeth Taylor, whom Eddie married after his best friend–and Liz’s husband–Mike Todd was killed in plane crash.) Of course, there was the messiness with Eddie already being married to Debbie Reynolds, who had two children, Carrie and Todd with him.
However, Eddie was a phenomenal singer and was always hanging out with the cool kids–The Rat Pack, and sold millions of records with 32 hit songs including “Thinking of You,” ”Any Time,” ”Oh, My Pa-pa,” ”I’m Yours,” ”Wish You Were Here,” ”Lady of Spain” and “Count Your Blessings.”
“The singer and entertainer and TV star of his own show and co-star of films Bundle Of Joy and Butterfield 8 had his heyday in the 1950s. In 1953 Fisher was given his own 15-minute TV show called Coke Time, sponsored by the Coca-Cola company; it was so popular that Coke then offered Eddie an unprecedented $1 million contract to be their national spokesperson.
But Fisher is best known for having been married to Debbie Reynolds, Elizabeth Taylor, and Connie Stevens and for fathering multi-talented Carrie Fisher and TV actress Joely Fisher. He created quite the worldwide scandal when he dumped his first wife, America’s sweetheart Reynolds, to marry his best friend’s widow, America’s sex symbol Taylor, who then dumped him for Richard Burton. Fisher became reviled and his career never recovered. (The two women later mocked Fisher in a thinly veiled TV movie about their relationship.) Fisher wrote two autobiographies which prompted Carrie to declare: “That’s it. I’m having my DNA fumigated.”
I found an odd little tribute video on YouTube made in 2008 for Eddie Fisher:
You led quite a glamorous life, Mr. Fisher. Rest Peacefully.
