Nicole Richie and Joel Madden tied the knot over the weekend, and here is the first look at one of her wedding dresses. Richie wore three different Marchesa gowns, this one was made from 100 yards of hand-draped silk organza and tulle petals. A little too poofy for me, but it’s a beautiful gown and she pulls it off.
Madden told People magazine that “It was the best night of my life.” Nicole described the wedding as “magical.” You can see more pics from their wedding when People hits newsstands on Friday.
Nicole Richie finally got hitched to her long time love Joel Madden at her dad, Lionel Richie’s estate in Beverly Hills Saturday evening. Richie wore three different Marchesa gowns designed for her in New York, one of which was an 80s style turtleneck, lace dress. The bride walked down the aisle to her father’s song, “Ballerina Girl,” which was written for her and the couple were serenaded by Lionel at the reception. Rev. Run, of Run DMC, officiated the ceremony.
About 130 guests, which included Gwen Stefani and husband Gavin Rossdale, Ellen Pompeo and Joel’s Good Charlotte bandmates. Madden’s twin brother Benji was the best man, and reportedly Samantha Ronson was a bridesmaid. The couple’s daughter Harlow served as the flower girl. Someone who wasn’t in attendance was Nicole’s former BFF, Paris Hilton.
Oh, but there was an elephant! Because every girl needs an elephant on her wedding day.
Celebs and their kids were on hand at the Yo Gabba Gabba! Live! There’s A Party In My City concert in Los Angeles. Dave Grohl and Nicole Richie, along with her fiance` Joel Madden, joined the characters on stage.
Actor Jack Black and Gwen Stefani were also in attendance.
Zuma looks scared, or maybe he’s mad he was put in that jacket. Or because his name is Zuma. Oh, and we’re concerned about all that bleach used on those boys’ hair. Can’t be good for the scalps.
