‘The Fast & Furious 7 – Furious 7’ Official Trailer – Hold On Tight

Fast & Furious 7
Fast & Furious 7

Yikes. This trailer for Furious 7 is here and wow.  It looks like two hours of adrenaline and tears.  I don’t think I have to spell it out for you, but what we have here is plenty of ‘roided-up cars, explosions, chases, Jason Statham and Kurt Russell as a new villains and the “family”–Vin Diesel, Dwayne Johnson, Michelle Rodriguez, Jordana Brewster, Tyrese Gibson, Chris “Ludacris” Bridges, Elsa Pataky and Lucas Black. It’s also the film Paul Walker was nearly finished filming when he was killed in a horrific car crash during a charity event outside of Los Angeles.  Paul Walker was only 40 years old when he died last November.

“The Furious 7 trailer opens up with one of the craziest stunts yet in any of the Fast & Furious films: The crew parachutes out of a plane in their vehicles, landing seamlessly on a highway in pursuit of a machine gun-toting truck with human cargo inside, which Paul Walker’s Brian O’ Conner is tasked with rescuing. As producers previously revealed, Walker’s character will gracefully bow out of the series rather than be killed off onscreen.”

A lot has been written about how difficult finishing this film was on everyone involved.  The production was put on hold after the news of Paul’s death last December, and at one point the producers were unclear as to how–or if the film would be completed. Thankfully, it was determined to continue on and not re-write the entire script or scrap the film completely. Furious 7 was directed by Saw and The Conjuring filmmaker James Wan.

Judging by the trailer alone, I can see that this will be an energetic, thrilling and even lovely “goodbye” of sorts to Brian O’ Conner and to Paul Walker himself.  Fuirous 7 will hit theaters and IMAX April 3, 2015.

Brad Pitt Breakdances With Jimmy Fallon Plus His Details and GQ UK Covers

Brad Pitt stopped by The Tonight Show on Wednesday to promote his new movie, Fury.’ He could have just done a sit down interview, but where’s the fun in that? He has a “breakdance conversation” with Jimmy Fallon down in the graffiti covered basement of 30 Rock, which is even better than their “yodel conversation” from last year. They had a little help from two dance doubles, but their Kid n Play is pretty good. Check it out!

Pitt also covers two magazines for November. For Details he was photographed among the Redwoods of the Humboldt Redwoods State Park in Northern California by Mark Seliger, who also captured him while he rode his motorcycle.

Pitt says that in the traffic of LA, he’s just “another asshole on the road,” but his favorite places to ride are the wonderful places he gets to travel to. In the interview, he also says that he discovered that he doesn’t suck at being a dad. I’m sure his children really appreciate that.

He does another rugged shoot with John Balsom for GQ UK . He recently married longtime love Angelina Jolie in a cute, private ceremony, and tells the mag that marriage is more than just a title. And about his fellow newlywed friend George Clooney calling him “unreachable.” well he’s not too bothered by it.

“Well, you know, George is extremely accessible. He’s one of our best representatives. He’s funny as shit.  He’s a joy to be around. I guess maybe I’m more of a miserable bastard. I’m a bit of a loner you know?  I’m more quiet by nature.  And coming from, you know, hillbilly country, I’m probably more reserved.”

And that’s why we love you Brad, you hayseed, you.

‘Annabelle’ Trailer Drops Because Who Needs Sleep Anyway?

Still from ‘The Conjuring’

If you haven’t already, make it your business to see last year’s horror flick ‘The Conjuring’ with Vera Farmiga and Patrick Wilson. Rather than a gore-fest, ‘The Conjuring’ is a delightful mix of haunted house, suspense, and possession that isn’t as easy to come across these days as one would think. Yes, I used the word “delightful” and that’s because I’m a horror fan! Assuming you DID see the film, remember that creepy-ass doll that had a surprisingly star role? This October, in the simply named ‘Annabelle’, we get to see her story.

Who is she? Where did Annabelle come from, why is she evil, and just how much? I mean, she’s only a doll, right? Moohahahaha! Bring on October…and the nightmare fuel!

‘Annabelle’, starring Alfre Woodard, Eric Ladin, and Annabelle Wallis, is slated for US release on October 3, 2014.
