‘The Voice’ – Who Was Sent Home and Who Stays For The Finals?

Photos: NBC/The Voice

It’s been a long, sometimes upsetting, journey but we’re almost done with ‘The Voice’ for the season. This group wasn’t as odd as last season’s, but there were a couple of powerhouse performers and not-quite underdogs that made this season worth watching.

I loved the addition of Usher and Shakira as coaches, and appreciated how dedicated they were to their team mates. Blake Shelton and Adam Levine continued their friendly rivalry, but one of them might have the last laugh.

I don’t know why I’m saying my goodbyes now, the final isn’t until next week! The results show was jam packed with performances, kicking things off were Fall Out Boy with “My Songs Know What You Did In The Dark.” They were joined by Michelle Chamuel, who I almost didn’t see appear on stage. Michelle learned early on in the show that she would be the first contestant to go through to the finals!

A number of ‘Voice’ alums stopped by to premiere their latest singles. First was my man Nicholas David with “Say Goodbye.” I was expecting something funky from him, but this was more folksy. Still pretty good. Terry McDermott came to rock with “Pictures.” He’ll be on tour for the next couple of weeks until his wife has their second baby. Also touring, with Maroon 5, is Tony Lucca. You know Tony wasn’t my favorite during his season, but “Never Let You Go” is catchy enough for me to excuse it’s Bon Jovi-liteness.

The group got together for one last performance, until next week of course, with “Every Rose Has It’s Thorn.” They changed the melody up a bit here, but it was a fitting song for their last night before the finals. Then we got the last two results, Danielle Bradberry was saved, but I was even less enthusiastic about it as she was. Also going through to the finals are The Swon Brothers. So that meant my dear Sasha Allen and Amber Carrington were out. Their coaches Adam and Shakira gave each other a sad handshake.

Really happy that Michelle is in the Top 3, you know she has DiC‘s vote. Who do you think will win, and are you excited about the season finale?
