Baby News Roundup! Matthew McConaughey, Kings of Leon, The Civil Wars And More!

Camilla and Matthew

You probably caught DILF Matthew McConaughey in box office hit ‘Magic Mike‘ last weekend, and now he has another thing to celebrate. Matthew tweeted the big news that him and new wife Camila Alves are expecting their third child. The couple, who have been together for six years, married in June. They have two other children, Levi, who’ll be 4 this week, and Vida, 2 1/2.

Claire and Hugh

Expecting her first child is ‘Homeland‘ star Claire Danes, her rep confirmed to PEOPLE. Danes, 33, married actor Hugh Dancy, 37, in 2009 after they met on the set of the movie ‘Evening‘ in 2007. A spokesperson for ‘Homeland”s production company Fox 21 says that Danes’ pregnancy is likely to not affect the show. I’m sure President Obama, who is a huge fan of the show, will be excited to hear that.

Jennifer Nettles

Just seven months after her wedding, Sugarland‘s Jennifer Nettles is happy to report she is pregnant with her first child. The singer and ‘Duets‘ mentor married husband Justin Miller in Nashville back in November of last year. “They are thrilled beyond belief!,” Sugarland’s manager, Gail Gellman, tells PEOPLE.

John Paul and Joy from The Civil Wars (..the kids is not John Paul's)

Another Country/Americana/Folk star starting her family is one-half of The Civil Wars, Joy Williams. She gave birth to her son Miles Alexander on June 30 in Nashville. “Now I really know what love at first sight means after meeting my son, Miles Alexander,” she wrote on Twitter.  “Born yesterday, all happy and healthy. xo” Williams announced her pregnancy earlier this year when she and band-mate John Paul White picked up their first Grammys at the awards show in February.

Kings of Leon with their wives

The Followill clan is growing by the minute. Lead singer of Kings of Leon Caleb welcomed daughter Dixie Pearl with wife, model Lily Aldridge, on June 21. Little Dixie came weighed in at 7 lbs., 11 oz. and measuring 22 inches long. The couple are said to be “happy, healthy and enjoying their new addition.

The elder Followill, drummer Nathan is expecting with wife, singer Jessie Baylin. “I’m beyond excited/anxious. Life is beautiful,” he tweeted. Their brother Jared got engaged in May to Martha Patterson so we can expect more baby news from them in the future .

WOW.  That’s a LOT of babies.

“Glee’s” Ryan Murphy vs. Kings of Leon

Someone needs to take that EGO down a notch...

Fresh off a Golden Globe win, ‘Glee‘ creator, Ryan Murphy seems to be even more full of himself than usual. After Kings of Leon denied him the use of their songs, he went off on a little tirade in a interview with The Hollywood Reporter.

F— you, Kings of Leon,” Murphy blasted. “They’re self-centered a–holes and they missed the big picture.” “They missed that a 7-year-old kid can see someone close to their age singing a Kings of Leon song,” Murphy continued,

which will maybe make them want to join a glee club or pick up a musical instrument. It’s like, OK, hate on arts education. You can make fun of ‘Glee’ all you want, but at its heart, what we really do is turn kids on to music.”

“Glee” is a lot of things, it certainly isn’t arts education.

Kings of Leon aren't havin' GLEE...

KOL frontman Caleb Followill responded saying, “This whole ‘Glee’ thing is a shock to us,” he told THR in response to Murphy’s rant.

It’s gotten out of hand. At the time of the request, we hadn’t even seen the show. It came at the end of that record cycle, and we were over promoting [‘Use Somebody’]. This was never meant as a slap in the face to ‘Glee’ or to music education or to fans of the show. We’re not sure where the anger is coming from.”

Drummer Nathan Followill tweeted his own butthead opinion on the matter:

“Dear Ryan Murphy, let it go. See a therapist, get a manicure, buy a new bra. Zip your lip and focus on education 7yr olds how to say fuck.”

He later issued an apology, he didn’t mean to say those homophobic things, you guys!

This is possibly the stupidest feud ever.

“Usually I find that people who make those comments, their careers are over; they’re uneducated and quite stupid,” Murphy also said, this time referring to musician Slash, who called “Glee”  “worse than ‘Grease‘ ” as far as licensing goes.

Well he’s got you there, Ryan. No one wants to hear an autotuned version of “Welcome To The Jungle.” Both sides need to get over themselves, especially Ryan Murphy, and go back to making the world a more mediocre place.
