First Trailer For ‘Killing Them Softly’ Starring Brad Pitt

Brad's a Bad Ass Again!

Brad Pitt stars in his latest collaboration with¬†The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford’¬†director Andrew Dominik, titled ‘Killing Them Softly.’ Based on the 1974 crime novel Cogan’s Trade, Pitt stars as an enforcer who comes to Boston to kill a bunch of small-time crooks who robbed a poker game. I’m already excited.

The movie premiered at the Cannes Film Festival back in May, and garnered a little controversy over it’s use of an excerpt from President Obama‘s 2008 Democratic National Convention speech.

What is that American promise? It’s a promise that says each of us has the freedom to make of our own lives what we will, but that we also have obligations to treat each other with dignity and respect.”

Pitt commented at the festival that it shouldn’t be seen as being critical of Obama’s presidency, but more as “a real expression of hope.”

Killing Them Softly‘ also stars Ray Liotta, James Gandolfini and Richard Jenkins. It hits theaters October 19 and you can watch the trailer below!
