Grammy winning singer Adele was given the golden opportunity to sing the theme for the latest Bond movie, and she did not disappoint.
**SORRY YOU GUYS–THE WEBSITE PULLED THE SNEAK PREVIEW**
She wrote the song, titled “Skyfall” with “Rolling In The Deep” collaborator/producer Paul Epworth. The two worked with a 77-piece orchestra at London’s Abbey Road Studio, and here’s what Adele had to say about the recording process on the official 007 Facebook page:
“I was a little hesitant at first to be involved with the theme song for Skyfall. There’s a lot of instant spotlight and pressure when it comes to a Bond song. But I fell in love with the script and Paul had some great ideas for the track and it ended up being a bit of a no brainer to do it in the end. It was also a lot of fun writing to a brief, something I’ve never done which made it exciting. When we recorded the strings, it was one of the proudest moments of my life. I’ll be back combing my hair when I’m 60 telling people I was a Bond girl back in the day I’m sure!”
I think the song sounds great, and reminds me a lot of the old Bond themes. The full song will be released at 0:07 BST on Friday October 5th (7:07 EST on Thursday October 4th) which will mark the 50th Anniversary of the franchise.
In the meantime, check out some new stills featuring Daniel Craig, and
…a crazy looking Javier Bardem.
‘Skyfall‘ opens October 26th in the UK and November 9th in America.
Well, well, well! What have we here?? Even though back in November Daniel Craig and Rachel Weisz denied they were “together”, we all knew better, didn’t we? Seems the couple were secretly married last Wednesday in New York without any fanfare–which is really rather awesome, don’t you think? Sometimes it’s refreshing to hear of a couple who manage to keep things private. (The Royal Family is excluded from that statement. So there.)
If you’ll recall, Rachel had been involved with director Darren Aronovsky for nine years. He seems like an oddball to me, and hey, he didn’t put a RING ON IT now, did he?
“Apparently, the pair got married on the quiet in New York State in fornt of just four people last Wednesday.
The guests were said to be Daniel’s 18-year-old daughter Ella and Rachel’s son Henry, four, plus two family friends who acted as witnesses.
Although they have been friends for several years, they were first linked in November but at the time strenuously denied they were together. Before they got together, Rachel had with Black Swan director Darren Aronovsky for nine years and Daniel was engaged to longterm girlfriend Satsuki Mitchell for five years.
However, it became clear that Daniel and Rachel were definitely an item when they were then seen hand-in-hand as they celebrated Christmas in Somerset.
A horror movie, The Dream House opens in cinemas this September.”
Congratulations to the talented and attractive couple seem to be in order.
