Brad Pitt Chats With Guy Ritchie For Interview Magazine

Smoking Jacket And A Gun

I generally enjoy anything Brad Pitt related. I can’t tell you how many times I watched ‘Cool World‘ when I was younger (I didn’t know any better okay?), but this photo shoot. Pitt appears in the October/November issue of Interview magazine sporting dreads and eyeliner in the shoot by Steven Klein. The two have done some great work together, check out that famous set of him and Angelina playing family before they officially hooked up that was done for W back in 2005. I still need to gather my thoughts about this one.

These Steven Klein photos almost seem like “audition head-shots” of sorts, yes?

In the interview with friend Guy Ritchie, he talks politics and his future in the film business. He has dropped hints about “retiring” over the past year, but really wants to transition into doing more behind the scenes things.

I’d rather be behind the camera. As a producer, obviously, you’re part of a team that brings the story to the screen. It wouldn’t be there if you didn’t champion it or if you and a group of people weren’t championing it. I like that.”1

Pitt has also become more picky about the roles that he accepts, and his family has a lot to do with that decision:

I want it to be worthy enough of a story to leave the family, you know? They’re everything,” the 48-year-old star told Ritchie, his director on 2000’s Snatch.‘ “The family is first . . . I also don’t want to embarrass them.”

In terms of politics, he is still a big supporter of President Obama even though his upcoming movie ‘Killing Them Softly‘ is seen as an attack on Obama’s Presidency

“Well, I just want to avoid confusion with this film and say I’m a big supporter of Obama, and I think he’s our best answer for the next four years.”

Just in case you were worried.

You can read the rest of the interview, and see Brad looking like an evil hotel caretaker, a Coor’s drinking hot piece of bad boy ass, and a few more “characters”  at Interviewmagazine.com.
