‘The Voice’ Results, Who Was Sent Home?

Tuesday night’s eliminations were a tough one, with one of my personal favorites getting the boot. After some wonderfully solid performances, the votes were added up and two of the coaches had their whole teams saved.

After a stellar tribute to Michael and Janet Jackson with performances of their hits, including “Scream,” Christina Aguilera learned that Matthew Schuler was safe, and later so was Jacquie Lee. Both members of newly crowned ‘Sexiest Man Alive’ Adam Levine‘s team, James Wolpert and Will Champlin were moving on to the Top 8 as well. Will and James joined Kat Robichaud for a group performance of Fall Out Boy‘s “Sugar, We’re Going Down” but it was the team up of Tessanne Chin and Caroline Pennell for Lorde‘s hit “Royals” that was the moment of the night.

I wanted Caroline to really push herself, and her voice and do something a little different, and this was it! Unfortunately, she, along with Kat and Blake Shelton‘s artist Austin Jenckes were in the Bottom 3. When it came to down to the Twitter Save, I voted for both Caroline and Kat, Miss Pennell got the most votes, leaving Cee Lo Green with only one singer left in the competition. So the Top 8 moves on to next week’s rounds. We’re you sad to see Kat or Austin go? And, as someone suggested, do you think people are really voting for the coaches? Let us know!

American Idol Results – Who Was Sent Home?

It’s getting down to the wire, and even though there seems to be a clear winner, anyone could take home the Idol crown. This is one of the better Top 5 groups on the show, but someone had to go home. The show kicked off the with the girls doing a medley of Donna Summer hits with some pretty hot dancers backing them up. None of the girls are really good dancers themselves, and that’s fine because they sounded great.

Former Idols Clay Aiken and Fantasia came back to sing. You know, I never did like Clay. I felt like I needed to root for him during his season because he’s from N.C., but he has a better career than Ruben Studdard now so I guess that’s something.

Oh, Paula.

The last female winner the show had, Jordin Sparks, was in the audience with her boyfriend Jason Derulooooooooo. The girls were brought on stage individually to recap their performances and see more of Jimmy Iovine‘s ass backwards critiques. He said that he didn’t like Angie Miller‘s rendition of “Halo,” and judge Nicki Minaj, who looked cute and casual in jeans and a tank top, told her he didn’t know what he was talking about. Angie would be in the Top 3 along with Amber Holcomb and Candice Glover. The latter was surprised by former judge Paula Abdul who told her she loved her version of “Straight Up.”

Buh-bye, Janelle.

That left Kree Harrison and Janelle Arthur in the bottom, and it looks like I was right. Janelle got the least votes, and sang “You Keep Me Hanging On” to try for a save. Randy Jackson says the vote wasn’t unanimous, but they wouldn’t be using the save for her. Which begs the question, are they going to be using it for anyone this season? Save for one off week, Candice has always been in the Top 3 and I don’t see her effing up her chances for the remainder of the show. I guess it was Janelle’s time to go, but she got a little bit of praise from Dolly Parton herself so I wouldn’t feel too bad if I were her.
