Movies To Watch On Halloween!

DiC would like to wish you a very Happy Halloween, and to make your night a little spookier, here are 5 movies to watch while you wolf down bite size candy.

John Carpenter‘s ‘Halloween

The original that launched a franchise, and a couple of remakes, is the quintessential Halloween movie. It’s in the title! The opening sequence of a little Michael Myers killing his family is still chilling to watch. Carpenter’s score, coupled with the ghost like presence of Myers, are still creepy to this day. You can catch ‘Halloween,’ preceded by it’s sequels at 3 p.m. on AMC.

Trick r Treat

Directed by Michael Dougherty, this 2007 anthology film quickly became a cult favorite, due in large part to it having a delayed release for 2 years. The four stories, one of which features ‘True Blood”s Anna Paquin as a man-hungry werewolf, are held together by a little guy by the name of Sam, who represents the spirit of Halloween. Sam, who is cute in a really creepy way, and the original stories make for a fun, bloody watch. The now defunct network FearNet would have shown a 24 hour marathon, but you can catch it on Netflix.

The Addams Family’

They’re crazy and they’re kooky, who doesn’t love The Addams Family? You’ve seen it a thousand times, but it’s always fun to revisit and admire Morticia and Gomez’s relationship. Rent it on Netflix, and start planning your Wednesday costume for next year.

Hocus Pocus

Another favorite from your childhood that has definitely earned it’s “Halloween Classic” status. Plus, it has a great pre-Carrie Bradshaw Sarah Jessica Parker. So get ready to sing “I Put A Spell On You” at the top of your lungs and wish you had a living spellbook at your command. Lifetime will air it on Saturday night, but if you want to watch it on Halloween, check it out on Netflix.

Something for the kids, or the kid at heart. Norman can speak with the dead, including his deceased grandmother, and he uses his gift to uncover something tragic about his town’s past. Along the way he helps the ghost of a young girl named Agatha who has a lot in common with him. The film has a lot of heart, and some very well done stop-motion animation. If you’re a fan of movies like The Corpse Bride‘ and ‘Coraline,’ you’re sure to love this one. Watch it on Netflix.

Beautifully Horrific Halloween Make-Up Ideas And Tips By: Taylour Chanel

I woke up at 3am unable to go back to sleep this morning, so I did yet another recreation to follow along with my Halloween face chart inspired week! This face chart was done by @dustinpatrickellis and I loved every bloody second of it. #jeeperscreeperswheredyagetthosepeepers
For this eye-less look:
1. I laid down my brows using spirit gum, wax and  #mehron fixative A sealer.
2. I then mapped out my sockets, and used Mac black kohl pencil as a base on both my lid and under eye.
3. I used  Mouldlife Sculpt Gel around my eyes and blended the edges using alcohol. To get the torn skin effect, take a small spatula after the gel has started to set a little and start pulling little bits away from the skin to get the look of a deeper socket.
4. Once the gel has dried, blend red and purple shadows around the outside of your new socket to make the skin look slightly more irritated.
5. Using @makeupforeverofficial flash palette, start going nuts and painting the black to red inner area of the socket. This doesn’t have to be perfect, considering I’m sure there’s no perfect way to gouge your eyes out.
6. Take a sponge and start stippling the blood around the socket, then either use a brush or a syringe to spray and drip more blood to the eyes. THEN BOOM, you’re eye-less.

Figured I eventually needed to do a skull face look, so here it is!

Happy Halloween And Hold On To Your MOFO Hats – ‘Breaking Bad’ Alert

Is Heisenberg still alive?  Maybe so.  With a slightly altered name, though.  Let’s scroll on down, shall we?

This “gentleman” showed up at my house today. Apparently, HE IS THE ONE WHO KNOCKS.

Before he left, he hissed: I am not IN danger. I AM THE DANGER.

Then I found THIS on my kitchen counter.  All said, he was very charming and quite handsome and said his name was, HEISENBRINK.

DISCLAIMER:  This is my SilverFox husband.  It’s Halloween. And that stuff up there?  Get real, people.
