Keanu Reeves says “Bill and Ted 3” in the Works

Party on!!

When he’s not busy eating sandwiches by himself, Keanu Reeves is making sure another installment of the “Bill and Ted” franchise is getting made. Reeves confirmed to MTV that there will be a third movie.

“When we last got together, part of it was that Bill and Ted were supposed to have written the song that saved the world, and it hasn’t happened,” he told the network’s movie blog.

“So they’ve now become kind of possessed by trying to do that. Then there’s an element of time and they have to go back.”

Keanu and Alex

Keanu also stated that the script should be due in about six weeks! Reeves would of course return as Ted, with Alex Winters returning as Bill S. Preston, Esquire. A direct-to-video sequel was planned to be released by MGM back in 2007, but the project never got made. “Bill and Ted” had two spinoffs, an animated show “Bill and Ted’s Excellent Adventures” which featured the voices of Reeves, Winters and George Carlin, and a live action show in 1992.

Now if we can work on that Johnny Mnemonic sequel.
