Oh, this is cool. I’m a big fan of Danny Trejo, who has been in just about all of Robert Rodriguez’s films and stars in his latest “Machete”. And guess, what? Oh. The title already told you.
“The Modern Family episode finds Claire in charge of an upcoming school dance at the boys’ school. While all the other moms are afraid of Danny’s menacing janitor, fearless Claire forms an unlikely bond with the guy.”
Danny’s got an interesting past, for those of you who might not be quite as into “Desperado” the way I am…he was “…in and out of jail for 11 years. While serving time in San Quentin, he won the lightweight and welterweight boxing titles. Imprisoned for armed robbery and drug offenses, he successfully completed a 12-step rehabilitation program that changed his life.” (Via IMDB) A couple of funny quotes from Danny:
It was the funniest thing I’d ever heard. I’d been in Soledad, San Quentin, Folsom, Vacaville, Susanville, Sierra–and here’s a guy asking, “Can you act like a convict?” I remember I said. “I’ll give it a shot”.
I’m an ex-con turned icon.
One of my favorite songs comes from “Desperado”…
