If you thinking waiting for the fifth season of True Blood to start sucks, not to worry, HBO just released a teaser for the upcoming season. We get our first look at former Law & Order: SVU star Christopher Meloni as Roman and some other new vamps on the scene. I miss him as Stabler on SVU, but I think he’ll be a great addition to TB. Let’s hope he gets lots of shirtless scenes.
True Blood returns Sunday, June 10 at 9 PM ET/PT on HBO. We’ll be watching!
HBO‘s True Blood is getting some new blood. Former Law & Order: Special Victims Unit star Christopher Meloni is joining the cast as a season regular for Season 5, an HBO spokesperson confirmed to The Hollywood Reporter.
Series creator, Alan Ball describes Meloni’s role as, “an ancient, powerful vampire who holds the fate of Bill and Eric in his hands.” I predict lots of crying from Sookie.
Of course, this isn’t the first time Meloni has worked for HBO. You might remember him from his role as Chris Kellar on the gritty prison dramaOz, which was a personal favorite of mine, although maybe I was too young to be watching it at the time.
I was sad to hear that he wouldn’t be returning to SVU for it’s latest season, but so excited that we’ll soon be seeing him, and hopefully that body, on TV again!
