Ten Years Ago…9/11 – A Remembrance

I can’t today. I just cannot write some lame drivel concerning George Clooney’s new “girlfriend” (aka paid companion?) Stacy Keibler today.  Not gonna do it. I could not care less.

My heart is heavy, yet it’s full.  My mind is swirling with memories of the “Where were YOU when the Unites States of America was attacked”,  just like the rest of you.

This morning, I heard Jonny Lang’s version of  “All Along the Watchtower” and my heart ached with a heaviness that has been welling up for days.  Songs are always open to interpretation, but today this classic felt and sounded different in its meaning.

Today, on the 10th Anniversary of 9/11, I want to enjoy my life with my husband, my family, friends and pups and be thankful.  My heart and prayers are with the families who lost their loved ones, and to each and every one of the dedicated men and women of the NYPD and NYFD who first responded to the terror attack that horrific day back in 2001.  I’m thankful, too, for the strong and dedicated  United States Armed Forces for continuing to fight for this nation.
