While looking at these photos of Lindsay Lohan, I sort of feel like she is writing her own obituary through photography. Listen, I’m no psychiatrist (but I play one in my own head ), anyone who’s willing to pose for bloody and violent images has a little too much darkness and death in their head. It’s as if she can imagine what kind of tribute will be given on Larry King Live when we all get the news that she’s dead.
These photos are just morbid, but let me say this: As a photographer, I’ve used guns in my own pieces. (I actually got reprimanded while I was in art school by a professor for using “inappropriate violent imagery” because the subject of my “story” was a female with a firearm–but that’s a whole ‘nother story.) So it’s not as if I’m against controversial art. My worry is for what is going on with Lindsay. Perhaps she found a photographer who is trying to make a name for himself by preying on some very deep-seated issues she has buried…or rather, right on the very surface, of her psyche.
“Everyone has an idea of Lindsay Lohan and last night I had the pleasure of working with her she is a huge art lover and simply wanted to create some and that is exactly what we did! This is just a taste more to come… Lindsay Will have a few crazy shots in my upcoming book The Dirty Side of Glamor.” – Tyler Shields
Really? “The Dirty Side of Glamor“? Those photos are not the dirty side of glamor, these are:
Lindsay sees herself as a Marilyn Monroe-ish tragedy, but without the film work to back it up. I’m alternately irritated by Lindsay and worried for her.
Terrible. Just terrible.
