Justin Bieber is Rolling Stone‘s August cover boy, the second time he has appeared on the magazine. The folks over at Gawker noticed that his issues features the same “HOT, READY AND LEGAL!” text as Lindsay Lohan‘s 2004 cover. They also wondered if he was going to go through the same type of downward spiral Lohan did not too long after that issue came out. Given his recent run-ins with the law and paps, eh maybe. But let’s not start planning puns of his songs for rehab stints just yet.
In the mag, the 18-year old says that he feels older than he actually is. “I feel like I carry myself in a more manly way,” he says. “I don’t carry myself as a boy.” Oh whatever, little boy.
Although he is trying his level best to grow up and appeal to a different audience, that might be a bit of a turn off for some younger fans. Commenting on his relationship with girlfriend Selena Gomez, Bieber’s manager, Scooter Braun isn’t worried about a backlash.
“Personally, I think that’s all a bunch of bulls***,” Braun says. “Yes, there’s gonna be some girls that if they see him with a girlfriend, it kills the dream – but there’s also gonna be girls that see him with a girlfriend, hear about the romantic things he does and want him even more.”
He has obviously never seen these girls’ Twitters.
The issue hits newsstands Friday, July 20.
