Song of the Day – ‘Fistful of Mercy’ by Fistful of Mercy; Please Donate to the Red Cross for Victims of Sandy

Oh, this song is so lovely, and it seems very appropriate for the day after the mess called Super Storm Sandy.

Dhani Harrison (George’s son), Ben Harper and Joseph Arthur’s band, Fistful of Mercy’s lyric, “…We have a way of saving our own lives” gives a sense of emotional strength to those having to endure the aftermath of yesterday’s storm as well as for those of us who need to reach out and help them.

Do listen to this lovely live performance of “Fistful of Mercy” the band of the same name.

I love the beautiful harmonies in this song.

We here at Dipped in Cream ask that you donate in any way you can to The Red Cross at THIS LINK to help the folks who are struggling–and will continue to struggle for many cold months on the east coast.

Please Donate to the Red Cross – Japan Earthquake and Tsunami

I’m sure all of you are watching the news and are stunned by the horror of the mass destruction in Japan.  Take a second to help these folks.  It’s all too much to even fathom.

“The American Red Cross is accepting donations to help in the wake of a devastating earthquake and tsunami in Japan. Those who wish to donate can do so at or make a $10 donation by texting REDCROSS to 90999. The money will go to those affected by the earthquake in Japan and tsunami throughout the Pacific.

The American Red Cross says the Japanese Red Cross Society has mobilized 11 teams into the heavily-damaged communities. The U.S. organization said it is in touch with its global partners in the damaged Pacific nations and prepared to help when/if needed.

Chapters in the U.S. are on high alert on the country’s West Coast where waves hit Friday morning.”
