Nick Cannon has confirmed that he and his wife, singer Mariah Carey, are DEFINITELY separated and have been for months. He’s revealed that the two are no longer living together and has been quoted by Yahoo’s The Insider as saying “There is trouble in paradise.” Is divorce in the cards? I’m gonna go with “likely” because, if living apart hasn’t helped their 8 yr. marriage enough to keep quiet on the situation, that must mean they’re heading towards the next step. The one involving lawyers.
Nick denies any cheating rumors on either party’s part though there’s been no statement yet from Mariah’s camp. Should said divorce actually happen, let’s hope it’s fairly cheap by Hollywood’s standards; neither Nick nor Mariah have had positive upswings in their careers of late.
Once again, I just don’t believe in love. Just kidding.
I don’t think that anyone was overly upset or shocked by the news of Jessica and Ashlee Simpson’s parents decision to split amicably and file for divorce after 34 years of marriage last month, citing “discord or conflict of personalities.”
The filing came a little over a month after the Simpson patriarch was arrested for driving under the influence in Los Angeles, after he was pulled over and blew a .12 BAC, and just two weeks after putting their family home on the market for $4.4 mil.
The aspect of this story that I find the most entertaining, though, is the report that surfaced Wednesday morning, stating that the divorce filing is actually the result of Joe Simpson’s decision to finally come out to his family, and the 54-year-old’s admission that he is now being kept company by a 20-year-old “boy toy”. Ooh-la-la. Discord or conflict of personalities, indeed.
Still seems a better use of his time then watching creepily over his daughters’ ailing careers (okay, Jessica’s BILLIONS hardly define an “ailing” career), and making completely inappropriate and gross comments about their bodies.
In a shocking bit of couple’s news, ‘Parks and Recreation‘ star Amy Poehler is separating from her husband Will Arnett after 9 years of marriage, US Weeklyhas learned exclusively from their rep. Another source is saying that the split is “very amicable.”
The couple were married in August of 2003 and worked together a number of times, including the movie ‘Blades of Glory‘ where they played brother and sister. Arnett, who currently stars on NBC‘s ‘Up All Night,’ once said he “immediately had a talent crush” on Amy. “The first time I saw her onstage, I said, ‘I’m gonna marry that girl,’ ” he told PEOPLE in 2009.
Awww. The pair have two children, Archie, 3, and Abel, 2.
